Ireland Bike Fest, Killarney, 2012

01st Jun 2012 - 04th Jun 2012 Ireland Bike Fest, Killarney, 2012

Ireland Bike Fest, Killarney,
1st - 4th June 2012

Harleys in Killarney

Now in its sixth year, Ireland BikeFest is back and promises to be bigger and better than ever! The Irish know how to have a good time and BikeFest, with its great crowds, is no exception. Come along this June and discover the warmth of Irish hospitality for yourself.

Located just outside of the charming town of Killarney on the southwest tip of Ireland, BikeFest is set amongst the lush and rolling landscapes of County Kerry. The roads are perfect for exploring the region on two wheels; from the serene Lakes of Killarney, to the highs and hills of the surrounding mountains and all the way to the dramatic coastline – it's an area begging to be explored.

In fact, Killarney serves as the base of the ever-popular Ring of Kerry, a 180km circular route that takes in a wealth of attractions. There’s also the option of taking the road further north and heading to the picture perfect fishing villages of the breathtaking Dingle Peninsula.

However, you won’t want to stray too far as you'll miss all the on-site action. As ever, the Bike Village will be the heart of the festival and they'll be a schedule of events running across the whole weekend. There will be: live music throughout the complex on a number of outdoor and indoor stages; the Fit Shop to make your custom dreams come true; a Technical Area for getting help from the experts; the Custom Bike Show on the green; a fleet of Harley-Davidson motorcycles for license holders to test ride, dealers, traders and plenty of food and drink options; and of course, you won’t want to miss the Parade on Sunday.

You’ll also have the chance to win a brand new Harley Davidson with your donation to the event's chosen charity, Muscular Dystrophy Ireland.

Ireland Bike Fest is open to all whether a newcomer to Harley or even to motorcycling – everyone is welcome to come and see what all the fuss is about. It's the kind of festival where friendships are formed. It's no surprise that there's always been a strong link with Ireland's H.O.G. Chapters who have a hard-working team of volunteers to make this an event to remember year after year. Whether you go on one of their organised ride-outs or not, you can be sure to receive the warmest of welcomes.

Accommodation can be found onsite in the Gleneagle Hotel, The Brehon or the Riverside Apartments. Get in early to secure a room where the fun is right on your doorstep. Alternatively, the town and area boasts numerous accommodation options. Check out the website for more details and how to book.
